BrewDog or (BrewSquirrel)

If i had £500 spare to spend on a bottle of beer that has been put down a squirrels neck I might buy one, but I dont, so for now I can only dream. It has caused a lot of controversy but ill let you make your own minds up. It is described by BrewDog "As an audacious blend of eccentricity, artistry and rebellion" it certainly is that!

Procrastination

As with the title of the work I feel I ended up looking at this subtle but great video the same way. Great work again by Lernert & Sander over at weloveourwork.

“Refait”

After such a dissapointing summer and next weeks useless friendly coming up I thought you would rather watch something alot more creative and interesting

“Refait” is a remake of the 1982 World Cup match between France and Germany. Every detail of the fifteen last minutes of the match was painstakingly reconstructed by Pied La Biche. The sheer pointlessness of it all is hilarious.

Jazzy New Advert

Having been in Shoreditch for the last few weeks on a placement this new advert really made me laugh. I think they have got everyone down to a T.

Perfect for a non-chef

I have never been known for my input in the kitchen but this is definatly one cook book you would see me reading.

A wonderfully simple book, designed by Caz Hilderbrand.

A lovely alternative to a conventional cook book, it has been replaced by simple vector illustrations of each of the pasta shapes. The illustrations, and the whole book is printed entirely in black and white, arranged in bold with simple patterns.

Stolen

Fact: Clothes left in dryers are asking to be stolen.

"STEAL, BUT ONLY THINGS THAT SPEAK DIRECTLY TO YOUR SOUL. ITS NOT WHERE YOU TAKE THINGS FROM, IT WHERE YOU TAKE THINGS TO. CELEBRATE THIEVERY."
- Paul Arden

This is a selection of some photographs that I was exhibiting at Paul Arden's Gallery [Arden & Anstruther] for the Stolen Exhibition which was the work of young photographers who were testing the boundaries of legality in an audacious and witty show. There was a selection of unconventional photography, interactive installation that comment on thievery as an art form.

For my first post I thought I would put up one of my most recent projects, based around the idea of waste typography. I designed a campaign surrounding the idea of waste ink as statistics show there can be upto 45% ink left inside a cartridge. I produced an A0 poster and manual to accompany the typeface i produced. The poster design is directly related to the amount of time it takes you to refill your own ink cartridges as it should take roughly the same amount of time to work out what is written. The is a projector on timer that projects the solution every 5 minutes for 20 seconds. The manual of how to refill you own ink cartridges is a play on the typeface but uses no ink .
